We played last night. Won 3-1.
Now idea what the performance was like. I am not staying up until 12:30am to watch a friendly.
Goals were scored by Martinelli, Nketiah and Nelson, if that matters.
The last of those 3 is an interesting one.
Arsenal need a winger to provide cover to Saka this season (Pepe is not up for it). Nelson has had a few chances and looked on the verge of stepping up following his loan spell at 1899 Hoffenheim.
That was now 3 years ago and he has not really kicked on since.
He was not particularly great at Feyenoord last season so you feel it is time for him to move on.
At 22-years-old, he is at that age where he should have progressed further in his career by now, but is still young enough to have a good career.
I do not think he is the solution for us.
Oleksandr Zinchenko will probably be unveiled today.
He flew from Texas to Florida to join up with the Arsenal squad and was pictured at the game alongside Edu.
I might write some more detailed words on him when I have the time (and energy).
We have one more friendly in America to go against Chelsea. Then it is fly back to London, a works intensive training, before a final friendly at the Emirates against Sevilla.
Crazy that the season starts in 15 days time!
