Of late I have been thinking more and more about doing a series of write-ups about that song which other Premier League teams sing at us as we travel around their grounds, to really discover whether we have been challenging or fighting for trophies,or simply finish 4th and get by as a club. Here is that series

2005/06 – Goodbye Highbury & The Champions League Final

2006/07 – Hello Emirates,The League Cup Final

2007/08 – Finishing 3rd in a 2 horse race

2008/09 – 5 defeats by November mean season over

2009/10 – 5 years and we’ve won fuck all – Wenger’s future questioned

2010/11 – The Carling Cup Final….again

2011/12 – The year we signed 8 players in 1 transfer window

2012/13 – Bradford, Blackburn and Bayern, but it’s 1-1 at Newcastle
