The Arsenal – We can win all of our last 5 games.

We kind of limped to this position we are in through a mix of bad injuries, lack of signings and a manager whose tactics these days can often amaze, but I do honestly feel the tide is turning and we can go on and finish this season on a high.

Hull – We travel to Hull on Sunday and whilst they are sitting in 13th they are still 4/5 points away from staying up this season. It’s clear the problem with them this season has been not enough goals and having Steve Bruce as a manager. in the Prem this season we have scored 25 more than them. When we played them at home back in December we had a much changed team due to starting a run of 4 games in 10 days and Hull were that bad even Bendtner scored. This has comfortable away win all over it.

Newcastle – They don’t like coming to ours almost as much as we don’t like going to theirs. Newcastle is one of the few clubs whose season is over, they wont get relegated, they wont get into the Spursday Cup next season. The players have nothing to play for, apart from pride and to try and stitch us up, they will do neither and roll over much the same way West Ham did last week. We had a 2nd half backs to wall 1-0 win at Newcastle, a game we finished with about 7 defenders on the pitch, George Graham would of enjoyed that.

WBA – Currently fighting relegation and rightly so after only winning 6 Prem games all season, only bottom placed Sunderland can match them on winning so few. The only thing keeping them out of the bottom 3 is draws, all 15 (fifteen) which must be a record (?) the next nearest is Stoke on 10 draws. They even managed to get a 1-1 draw when we played them earlier in the season. They will be fighting for their life’s, but will think a point is a good result, we will roll all over them at ours.

Norwich – Hopefully by the time this game comes up we have either secured the 4th place cup or Norwich have already been relegated and hopefully both. The last thing we need a week before the FA CUP Final is a battle the game before. If Norwich can still mathematically stay up and we have nothing to play for then it put’s Le Boss in a position were he will be heavily criticized if he plays anything but our best team. We smashed them at our place this season 4-1 with Wilshere scoring the goal of the season, hopefully this will be a nothing game for both clubs. With cup final places at stake maybe a few players will trying to impress that day.

FA CUP Final – Now I hate being over optimistic about any final our history is littered with cup upsets and losing finals to teams well below us, but it’s Hull and its Hull without Jelavic and Long who are cup tied. Hopefully by then we should have a fully firing Ramsey, Ozil, Ox and Wilshere and that will prove to be too much for them. This is the first season in a long time we have been able to win ugly, the first time in a long while that the side have showed real ‘Character’ and i’d take a winning ugly with character all day long to see us win the cup.

Number 3, 2001, Old Trafford, The Arsenal Vs Tottenham. We are 1 nil down completely against the run of play and Tottenham’s captain Sol Campbell clinically fouls Ray Parlour and leaves pitch, not only did Vieira score a header from the freekick but the next time Campbell steps foot on a football pitch it was for The Arsenal. We won the game 2-1 with Pires scoring the winner.

Number 2. 2003 Old Trafford, The Arsenal Vs Sheffield United. This save by David Seaman needs no real introduction, He had no right to get anywhere near the ball. Pure athletic genius. We went onto win 2-1.

Number 1. Wembley 1993, The Arsenal Vs Tottenham. The donkey wins the derby.

Right, firstly my own views on the manager have been damming over the last few years, for that all I can say is I say things how i see them but the other regular writers on here and the guest writers have had other views on Le Leader so hopefully we at Shewore.com have produced blogs which cover everyone’s views. On speaking with everyone involved in the SheWore Twitter, Facebook and blog there was only one thing to do this week and that was to put the petty bantering we have aside and all just hope and pray we can beat the might of Wigan. So as such we are asking everyone else to get into the spirit as well including those who love Le Leader, those who hate him, those who hate the current largest shareholder and his puppet CEO and those that erm are related to them or getting the odd freebie (I know who you are) .

Now I know Le Leader has in the past treated the worlds oldest and greatest cup competition as 3rd priority in any season but this season is different, even the most ardent lover of our current boss will admit this year the FACUP means more than ever for his future. Personally right now I don’t care if he stay’s or goes all I care about is seeing THE ARSENAL win something, it’s been too long, too many people have spent too much money watching us fail over the last few years and it’s time it stopped and those going Saturday can help.

No other London club would be able to sell as many tickets for a game. We are and always will be the biggest club in London, both trophy wise and supporters wise. In fact only Man Utd and Liverpool could even come close to getting as many fans to any game but it’s not just about bums on seats we need to raise the roof Saturday, drown out all 10 of the Wigan fans (did you come by minibus) and let the players privileged enough to wear the famous Red n White know that we are behind them.

Yes I’m aware some of the players in the current squad are not firing on all cylinders, some are not the most gifted and of course we are missing some with injury but that doesn’t matter. George Graham’s side won the CWC final in 1994 which set out with a bit of bite and not to concede. That team had a passion and discipline we can’t rely on recently so again it’s down to us to back, support and encourage the players. I’m never pissed off when we lose as long as the players put everything into the game, let them feel our passion in the hope it rubs off on them.

Now I know I might not have the most positive reputation, mainly due to thinking the club can do better for us fans and have a better manager/owner/CEO and spend more on players etc but let me assure everyone I LOVE THE FACUP. My earliest memories as child were watching the 78/79/80 finals in the front room with my Grandad. When it came to naming this blog, which has been running since 2007 there was only one choice, our Wembley song. My first Semi-final was in 1991 as a young 18yr old and this Saturday I will be sharing the journey there and back again with my mate who I met at work that year. The love for The Arsenal will always keep us in contact even if our lives take us in different directions.

I guess the point of this blog is simple, we all love The Arsenal and we all want us to win. We all have mates that we only ever see at games and we have all met people from many different walks of life that has improved us as people, The Arsenal does a lot for our lives. The banter and debate that happens across all social media should be just that, the bad feeling that seems to split us on so many levels is only because we all love the same thing. So let’s put an end to it for Saturday and hopefully the rest of this season.
