10 reasons why we will beat cardiff + Starting XI

1.. As always I will start with our back 5.. Not really much to say, doing a great job every one of them and with Cardiff scoring under a goal per game another clean sheet is a big possibility.

2.. Flamini, the big question has moved on from can him and Arteta play in the same side together to just why does he take a pair of scissors to his shirts. and why someone doesn’t stop him.

3.. Ramsey;s an ex-Cardiff player, bang on form for us and will be looking forward to this one.

4.. Great game by Jack Wilshere midweek, brilliant goals, all-round performance and he just adds to Wenger’s nice to have selection headache.

5.. Ozil, I’d love to say this could be his kind of game, but I think it maybe time to give him a little breather.

6.. Even tottenh*m won at Cardiff, 0-1, even if it was a dodgy penalty (I didn’t bother to check if this is true, but i’d be surprised if its wrong)

7.. Apart from Cardiff’s strike rate their defence is not upto much either shipping in 17 goals in 12 Prem games.

8.. Giroud, first he should take all our penalty’s. Secondly he must remain fit as the Danish fella is not fit to wear our shirt.

9.. Cardiff so far this season.. played 12, won 3, drawn 5, lost 5.

10.. Wenger knows this is another tricky away game, Cardiff’s will be well up for this upto the players to get in early, silent them and take control.

Likely Starting XI – Cheseny. Sagna, Kos, Per, Gibbs, Arteta, Flamini, Santi, Ramsey, Jack, Giroud.

10 Reasons why we will beat Marsellie+ starting XI

1.. Chesney, another clean sheet on Saturday. He has now only let in 1 goal in his last 5 games.

2.. Seems pointless picking out the defenders for individual praise now, they are all working very well as a unit and would make George Graham proud with the offside trap. All that is missing is them putting their hands up and clapping the Ref and Lino once the right call has been made.

3.. Flamini is available, I just hope Wenger doesn’t make the mistake of playing him and Arteta. It Doesn’t work, much the same as chicken with cheese doesn’t work.

4.. Wilshere, whilst it was good to see him get a full 90mins in on Saturday he still doesn’t look totally match fit and at his best.

5.. Theo, wasn’t really upto much in his short cameo appearance on Saturday Vs his boyhood team. I’d like to see him start and make more of an impression this game.

6.. Ozil lots of people have been having a moan up saying he has been quiet lately, but hes working hard, covering plenty of ground and this is the kind of game he will shine in.

7.. Ramsey, by far our best player this season and even if he gets pushed wide by Wenger he puts in a shift, his back flick which hit the post Vs Southampton was a touch of pure class. With Theo back let’s hope he get’s put in his best position, down the middle.

8.. Marseille domestically are doing okay, but just okay. Winning 7 out of 14 games so far but drawing 3 and losing 4, With a goal diff of plus 7. That leaves them 10 points off the pace of current leaders PSG. in the Champions League group they are the whipping boys managing to lose all 4 games so far.

9.. Giroud, I’m so happy he got a poachers kind of goal at the weekend and as for his head/eyes/body/foot fake for the penalty, well just pure class.

10.. Wenger KNows, a win could put us into the next round, lose and we could face a tricky last game away.

Likely starting XI – Cheseny, Sagna. BFG, Kos, Gibbs, Arteta, Ramsey, Santi, Ozil, Theo, Giroud

The Arsenal and Me – Tushar’s Story

I was a 13yr old with no interest whatsoever in football. I was a cricket fan. By a lucky chance I happened to purchase the FIFA 2002 game. But I just could not win any match. Then I once played with the first team in the Premier League list (The Arsenal of course)…that was my first win which included I still remember a spectacular bicycle kick from a certain chap called Henry (who I had never heard of before). That of course does not make you a Gooner.

Then one day while surfing on tv I found this football game being telecast on the most ridiculously perfect football pitch (I didn’t know the name of course) & Lo and Behold! it was an Arsenal match. That was the 1st time I saw Thierry Henry & Dennis Bergkamp! Those were the only two guys whose names I knew (hardly surprising seeing that they scored the bulk of my goals in FIFA).

One thing led to another & gradually my interest in football & Arsenal began to grow. One of the main reasons was Arsenal’s fantastic footballing style(which I often tried to copy on FIFA) & secondly Highbury! What a magnificent stadium! What perfectly manicured pitch! Even my family who had nothing to do with football agreed that it was a Brilliant sight to see a sun-soaked Highbury!

By then I was hooked on to Arsenal & wasted no time finding out about the Club, about Arsene Wenger. The other players particularly
Robert Pires and Freddie Ljüngberg were my special favourites. In my school ManUtd was pretty much the only supported side but I always stood up for my team. Those banters served to increase my passion for the Club. From a boy who never watched football I changed to one who would obsessively mark the dates of Arsenal games & watch all of them…including the Champions League nights. Those UCL games are after midnight in my country but I can proudly say that pretty much watched all of them & still do.

That was in 2002-03. My greatest memory was the Invincible season….my lowest the UCL final 2006. My greatest regret…not finding out Arsenal before & so I missed out on watching MrArsenal himself.

Coming back to now…Its safe to say that my life revolves around Arsenal FC. I am a Doctor now & still strive to watch all Arsenal games including UCL ones in fact on many occasions I have skipped cricket matches when they have clashed with Arsenal games. Like all Arsenal fans who haven’t it is my dream to watch Arsenal Live in London.…that for me will be a pilgrimage.

UP THE ARSENAL!!!!
COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!!!
